Gilligan's Island (CBS TV, 1964-1967), Dawn Wells "Mary Ann" Sequined Gown. Vintage original custom-tailored (1) piece peach-colored polyester-blend gown with extensive plastic sequins and beads on the bust and shoulder straps, worn by Mary Ann (Dawn Wells) in the Gilligan's Island Season 3 Episode, "The Second Ginger Grant", during which Mary Ann falls, hits her head, and wakes up believing she's actually Ginger (Tina Louise. Hilarity ensues in this memorable episode heavily featuring this wonderful costume piece. Exhibits production wear and age including some missing beads and loose sequins. With internal CBS cleaning tag still affixed and zip closure to back. For display purposes, the gown is accompanied by a pair of gray flats, a pair of tights, and costume bracelet and earrings. Provenance: Originally from Dawn Wells' personal collection; Profiles in History, "Hollywood Auction 21", April 1, 2005, Lot #323. Stewart took great pride in displaying his collection and had many custom-built mannequins in the likeness of the character made for his costumes. This lot includes one of those mannequins, which is in used and well-loved condition and will require special shipping. The option is yours if you would like to receive the mannequin.
