DC Batman (187) Comic Scenes Model, The Penguin (416-100) Model, & Official Batman Bat Chute Toy (Aurora/Consolidated Development Corp., 1966-74). A trio of vintage Batman collectibles spanning the Silver Age of DC licensing and the golden era of Aurora model kits. The lot includes Aurora's Batman Comic Scenes model kit No. 187 (1974), sealed in its original cello wrap. The tight packaging and long-term storage have caused notable panel creasing and corner crushing, but the kit remains unopened and intact within. Joining it is Aurora's The Penguin model kit No. 416-100 (1967), an unbuilt and unpainted example with several pieces detached from the sprue; the box shows moderate edge scuffing, corner wear, and light surface discoloration but retains strong display integrity. Completing the group is the Official Batman Bat Chute Toy by Consolidated Development Corp. (c.1974), a later novelty item that captures the continued popularity of the character into the 1970s. The toy remains factory sealed, though the bubble shows heavy crushing, scuffing, and separation stress, and the card exhibits bending, creasing, and surface wear. Each piece reflects a distinct chapter in Batman's merchandising legacy-from Aurora's sculptural storytelling to the playful gadgetry that defined the franchise for a generation. Together, they form a nostalgic cross-section of Gotham's creative plastic age.
