1926 Ernst H. Roth 1734 Violin.
This is a full-size 1926 Ernst Heinrich Roth violin, made in Markneukirchen, Germany. It is a reproduction of the Josef Guarnerius, Cremona 1734 model. The internal label reads:
"Ernst Heinrich Roth, Markneukirchen, reproduction of Josef Guarnerius, Cremona 1734"
and is back-stamped:
"Ernst Heinrich Roth, Markneukirchen, A265".

Body dimensions:
Body length: 36 cm
Upper bout: 16.8 cm
C bout: 11.4 cm
Lower bout: 20.8 cm

This violin features a tight-grain spruce two-piece top, flamed maple ribs and neck, and a flamed one-piece maple back. It is finished in a rich reddish golden-brown varnish. All fittings are ebony, including the tailpiece, pegs, and chinrest.

Ernst Heinrich Roth violins from this era are highly sought after for their tonal depth, refined craftsmanship, and close adherence to classic Cremonese models.
