circa 1978 McPherson J-40M Natural Acoustic Guitar, Serial #281.
This circa 1978 McPherson J-40M is an early example from the builder's original run, featuring a natural finish over a spruce top with mahogany back and sides. Serial #281. It showcases McPherson's distinctive 3-soundhole design and a rosewood veneer pickguard. The original single-coil pickup remains in good working order. The frets show some tarnish that can be addressed with cleaning, and the guitar would benefit from minor setup work to optimize playability.
