The Rolling Stones / Alexis Korner Beat City, London UK Performance Contract from the Bill Wyman Collection (1964). Vintage original 1-page emergency contract on Eric Easton Ltd letterheaded paper, dated June 26, 1964, from the personal collection of Rolling Stones bassist Bill Wyman. The typed contract between the Rolling Stones and Alexis Korner & Alex Herbage, is for a performance at London's Beat City to take place on July 18, 1964. For a short 45-minute show, the band was to be paid £500 (approximately £10,500 in today's money). The contract is signed to the bottom by both Korner and Herbage. Framed and glazed. Provenance: Property from Bill Wyman and his Rolling Stones Archive, September 11-14, 2020, Lot 67. Contract measures approx. 7" x 9.75", framed and glazed overall 13" x 15.5". Contract exhibits light fold creases, minimal handling wear to frame, not examined out of frame. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
