Star Trek V: The Final Frontier (Paramount Pictures, 1989), Group of (4) Original Cels for Video Displays. Original group of (4) cels featured in the background video displays on different starships in Star Trek V: The Final Frontier. The cels depict two separate scenes, with 1-cel depicting an enterprise radial display with marker outlines and cutouts of colored gels taped to back to create the multicolor computer display, and 3-cels depicting a Klingon attack system on the bridge of the Klingon Bird of Prey ship comprised of 1-background cel with marker scribbles and cutouts of colored gels taped to back and 2-overlay cells of red-colored gels in various shapes. Cels were developed by taking a high-contrast print on Kodalith film and adding colored gels, eventually mounted to a punched cel holder with 2-cels held together with black tape. Cels are accompanied by "slate" cel that provides context for the scenes in black marker including title, description, and shot number specifications. Star Trek V: The Final Frontier sees the original crew facing off against the long-lost half-brother to Spock (Leonard Nimoy), Sybok (Laurence Luckinbill), as he hijacks the USS Enterprise-A to find God at the center of the Universe.
