Star Trek: The Motion Picture (Paramount, 1979), Original Costume Sketch for Lightweight Space Suit by Robert Fletcher. Original costume sketch by Robert Fletcher for a Lightweight Space Suit from Star Trek: The Motion Picture. Accomplished with watercolor and graphite on 14" x 18" artist's board containing notations in graphite reading, "LT. WEIGHT SPACE SUIT" and "4 COLORS / RED GREY BUFF WHITE / (PACK STAYS SAME COLOR)". This flight suit may have been designed for general use onboard the USS Enterprise, as indicated by the patch to front of the uniform, though does not ultimately appear in the film. Design is signed by Fletcher and marked "#51" in graphite on recto. Exhibiting signs of handling, wear, and age including foxing, smudges, and stray marks. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
