BG-111 Traffic (Steve Winwood) 1968 S.F. Concert Poster Signed Early On by Mouse, Kelley & Seidemann....
Description
BG-111 Traffic (Steve Winwood) 1968 S.F. Concert Poster Signed Early On by Mouse, Kelley & Seidemann. First-printing San Francisco concert poster for Traffic, H.P. Lovecraft, Blue Cheer, Mother Earth and Penny Nichols playing alternately at the Fillmore Auditorium and Winterland on Thursday thru Saturday nights, March 14-16, 1968. This poster was designed by Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelley, utilizing a photograph by Bob Seidemann, and this specimen carries the signatures of all three of them, with Mouse quite obviously being an early sig. Known as BG-111 in the Bill Graham numbered series, this first-ever Heritage offering - yes, we're surprised, too - measures 14" x 21" and grades to Near Mint Minus condition. COA from Heritage Auctions.More Information: In the upper left corner, there is a ¾" diagonal corner crease, not bad at all, and then a couple of smaller ones within that. The upper right corner has a microscopic corner-tip touch to it, just barely there. The verso has "111" written in light pencil at the top. General toning throughout. Notice the slight printer's flaw (we assume) of half-a-dozen black spots in the white to the upper left of "Fillmore."
