Description

Star Wars Glasslite Han Solo AFA 75+ Loose (Glasslite, 1988). Released in Brazil under the O Poder da Força line, the Glasslite Han Solo Mercenário Estelar stands as one of the most characterful international variants in the Star Wars collecting world. Unlike Kenner's smoother, mass-produced version, Glasslite's Han was molded in a harder plastic and hand-finished with visible individual paint applications-each example slightly unique to its batch. The figure is instantly recognizable by its pale face, neck, and hands, lighter reddish-brown hair, brown eyes (rather than Kenner's black), and lighter brown eyebrows. These details, combined with excess mold flashing often visible along the limbs, make the Brazilian release both imperfect and deeply distinctive in its charm. This example has been graded AFA EX+/NM 75+, falling within the Excellent to Near Mint range. The figure includes the correct solid black Jawa blaster-an accessory identical in mold to Princess Leia's silver version, but exclusive in color to this release. Small production variances, from leg flashing to hue shifts, were common across runs, underscoring the handmade character of late-'80s Brazilian toy manufacture. Encased in an AFA display, this figure captures the unrefined creativity that defines the Glasslite era. Han Solo Mercenário Estelar is more than a simple reissue-it's a relic of resourceful production, regional artistry, and the enduring global fascination with a galaxy far, far away.
