Independence Day (TCF, 1996), Alien Attacker Large Pyrotechnic Filming Miniature. Original pyrotechnic filming miniature alien attacker spaceship measuring approx. 50" x 48" x 18". Constructed of hollow cast resin, vacuum-formed plastic components and other multimedia. Assembled and expertly painted to with otherworldly greens and blues with panels and details evoking biomechanical technology. Highly visible when principal attack ships pour from the massive mother ships during the climactic confrontation over Area 51. Props like this one were rigged with remote-controlled pyrotechnics during the production scenes depicting explosions and damage to the vehicles. The detonation caused damage to this particular prop, resulting in the detachment of the right wing, the top "mohawk" section of the hull, and a 6" x 4" hole to the front left side of the hull. Exhibiting production wear and age with two metal fastening across the top for display purposes at Planet Hollywood locations. Special shipping arrangements will apply.
