Description

Dale Earnhardt, Sr. Chevrolet Monte Carlo Racecar Roof (ca. 1988) and Exhibition Racing Suit (ca. 1997-1998). Dale Earnhardt, Sr. racing items including (1) roof from one of Dale Earnhardt Sr.'s 1988 Chevrolet Monte Carlo racecars, (1) exhibition racing suit (ca. 1997-1998) previously displayed in a Planet Hollywood location. The racing suit is predominantly black and white with red trim featuring sponsor patches. Dale Earnhardt Sr. was a legendary American NASCAR driver who became an icon in motorsports, known for his aggressive driving style and seven NASCAR Cup Series championships. The roof is from one of Dale Earnhardt Sr.'s prized racecars, circa 1988 when he was driving a Chevrolet Monte Carlo and had just signed with GM Goodrich. With The Intimidator's signature jet-black as the dominant color, the metal roof displays Ironhead's iconic "3" in white, outlined in red. "Dale Earnhardt" appears in a fancy scripted white font at the top and bottom of the "3," just over where the door windows once were. There is also an antenna hole at the center of the "3." The racing suit exhibits wear from display, and the roof exhibits extensive scratching to the paint with slight bending along the edges from race wear and disassembly. Comes with COA from Heritage Auctions.
