The Ten Commandments (Paramount, 1956), Half Sheet, One Sheet, and Six Sheet Posters. Vintage original 22" x 28" half sheet, 27" x 41" one sheet, and 81" x 81" six sheet movie posters. Cecil B. DeMille's 1956 The Ten Commandments was a monumental biblical epic, renowned for its groundbreaking special effects and Charlton Heston's iconic performance as Moses, and the film's marketing campaign was equally grand, with Paramount launching one of the most extensive promotions of the era, including tie-ins with churches, schools, and lavish premiere events. DeMille himself was prominently featured in trailers and print ads, lending an air of authority and reverence to the film's religious subject matter. This lot includes three formats of poster from the film. The half sheet has previously been folded, while the one sheet and six sheet have been backed on linen. The half sheet shows toning, fold wear, and other signs of aging, while the one sheet and six sheet have benefitted from touchup along the folds and other slight restoration. An attractive group of posters from this significant film. Overall Fine/Very Fine condition. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
