The Ten Commandments (Paramount, 1956), Group of (3) Concept Composite Artworks for the "Parting of the Red Sea". Vintage group of (3) artworks including (1) "Defile and Red Sea" composite featuring black and white location photograph with ink on vellum overlay on art board measuring 15" x 9", (1) "Ext. Shore & Jutting Crag" composite featuring charcoal and acrylic sketch with acrylic on vellum overlay on art board measuring 15.5" x 8.75", and (1) mixed media Red Sea composite featuring black and white location photo embellished with acrylic on art board measuring 19" x 13". Artworks feature the original annotations made by the special effects team. John Fulton, whose name appears on the lower left of the mixed media Red Sea composite, won an Academy Award for "Best Visual Effects" on the 1956 blockbuster film. This specific artwork appears in the comprehensive compendium on the filmmaker Cecil B. DeMille: The Art of the Hollywood Epic. Artworks exhibit age and production wear.
