Vintage group of (4) concept paintings by Dan Sayre Groesbeck [1878- 1950] rendered in watercolor, charcoal, and graphite on art board and signed by the artist including (1) "Stephen Tolliver and Dog" measuring 21.25" x 16.75, (1) "Tolliver and Claiborne on Ship" measuring 20.25" x 16.25", (1) "Tolliver with Ship Model" measuring 20.5" x 16", and (1) "Tolliver, Captain Stuart, and Claiborne on Ship" measuring 21" x 16". These dynamic concept scenes by Groesbeck feature pivotal scenes in the action with abstract likenesses of the featured actors: Tolliver (Ray Milland), Claiborne (Paulette Goddard), and Captain Stuart (John Wayne). Artwork exhibits production wear and exhibition wear including edge tearing and vestiges of tape and glue residue due to matting. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
