Captain America: The First Avenger (Marvel, 2011), Chris Evans "Steve Rogers/Captain America" Padded Muscle Suit Worn Under Costume. Original cloth and foam-padded muscle suit worn by Chris Evans under Captain America's uniform to accentuate and highlight the character's physique. The suit consists of a mesh undersuit with padded sections sewn-in to emphasize the pectorals, deltoids, forearms, biceps, triceps, quadriceps, buttocks, and calf muscles. Features include a zip-back with black string, a hole in the pelvic region, a handwritten "2 HD" bias label, and a Marvel UPC sticker marked "Marvel - CAP" and "27568." Although Chris Evans reportedly gained between 20-30 pounds of muscle mass for his debut as the "First Avenger"-working out at least two hours a day and following a strict nutritional regimen-superhero costumes often require additional padding, as fabric can flatten natural muscle definition. As a result, suits like this one are used to enhance the appearance of peak physical form, contributing to the iconic silhouette famously known as "America's Ass."
