Back to the Future Part II (Universal, 1989), Movie Poster Original Concept Art by Drew Struzan. Drew Struzan's iconic poster for Back to the Future, showing Marty McFly glancing at his watch beside the DeLorean, became instantly recognizable. Its style and energy captured the spirit of the film so well that Struzan was brought back to create the posters for both sequels, forming a unified and memorable trilogy of images. The Art of Drew Struzan illustrates four unused concepts for the second installment in the series, including the piece here which depicts the DeLorean cars from the first two films, each with Marty behind the wheel. While the final Part II poster would not veer too far from the original, this piece offers a fascinating glimpse at what could have been. An extraordinary work of art from the artist who helped to define the visual identity of Back to the Future. Mixed media on paper. Signed by the artist at lower right.
