April Ferry Signed Costume Sketch for Mel Gibson as "Bret Maverick" in Maverick (Warner Bros., 1994). Original costume sketch designed by April Ferry featuring Mel Gibson in a western outfit. Art by Lois DeArmond. Includes finished "alternate waistcoat" at right. Accomplished in pencil, ink and gouache on 15" x 20" artists board with black overlay. Signed in ink "April Ferry 1993 Maverick" at lower left and "DeArmond 93" at right of figure." Pencil notes at bottom right margin "Maverick Travel 2 - Vest 3". Light toning with edge and corner bumping, blank on verso. Includes photo of Gibson wearing the resulting costume. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
