Trimaxion Drone Ship "Morphing" Filming Miniature from Flight of the Navigator (Buena Vista, 1986). Original special effects "morph" ship constructed from vacuum-formed plastic and painted silver. In the film, the AI-controlled ship would morph from its typical, shell-like appearance into different shapes depending on the maneuver or the environment it was in. This morphing process was accomplished through the use of replacement animation, and this ship is one of the ships filmed during the morphing process. Measures 11.5" x 10.5" x 5".
