Rocky II (United Artists, 1979), Rainbow Final Draft Script. Original studio-bound and bradded 125-page (as paginated) final draft screenplay of Rocky II (subtitled "Redemption" on the title page), written by Sylvester Stallone and dated July 13, 1978, with brown cardstock cover and gold-embossed Rocky II lettering on the front, and the movie title handwritten in black marker on the script's spine. Includes (1) additional "Rocky II Lodging" list and (1) staff and crew directory dated 10/27/78. The sequel to Sylvester Stallone's incredibly successful screenwriting debut, Rocky II was directed by Stallone and chronicled the titular "Italian Stallion" as he trains to defeat his boxing nemesis, heavyweight champion Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers). On the final page (page 125), Rocky delivers one of the most famous lines in film history, bawling into the ring microphone, "Yo Adrian! I did it!" The script features revisions dated 8/7/78, 8/8/78, 7/24/78, 8/21/78, 8/24/78, 8/29/78, 9/5/78, and 9/12/78 on different colored revision pages. Rocky II cemented Stallone as a major box-office star and launched a franchise that would ultimately span nine films, with Stallone later earning an Academy Award nomination and winning a Golden Globe for his supporting performance as Rocky Balboa in Creed (2015). Script measures approx. 8.5" x 11" x 0.75" and exhibits light impressions on the cover, bumped corners, edge wear, and general signs of age. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
