Description

Batman Foam Bathmat (DC, 1978). Bringing a splash of vintage superhero action to everyday life, this Batman lot showcases a vintage 1978 foam bath mat that captures the high-stakes excitement of Gotham's finest on the open seas. Set against a bright yellow backdrop, the scene shows Batman and Robin speeding through the water in the Batboat while the Penguin teeters on the brink of a splashdown, with hungry sharks circling below. The vibrant artwork reflects the bold, animated style of late-70s DC merchandise and offers a playful nod to the era's imaginative storytelling. The mat shows signs of handling, with paint loss and rubbing along the bottom, wear throughout the Batboat, and scuffing with tears on the right side. Even with its wear, this piece stands as a lively and unconventional slice of Batman collecting history.
