Maurice Binder Original Title Artwork for The Man with the Golden Gun (Eon Productions, 1974). Starting with Dr. No, title designer Maurice Binder set the tone for the opening sequences of James Bond films to follow with his signature "Bond-through-the-gun-barrel" and use of undulating female silhouettes and imagery. This lot consists of (5) illustration boards (measuring 21" x 17.25"), one with (4) panels measuring 8" x 4.5" featuring photo paste-up artwork of James Bond viewed through a gun barrel with colored gel overlay with paste-up title and gold holographic stickers hand-cut in the silhouette of a gun. The three others feature variations of the title (one with detached artist's vellum overlay) with production notes. Boards exhibit age and handling from production with tape residue, staining and glue remnants and chipping to panel edges and some delamination and tearing to gels. From the family of Maurice Binder.
