Herbie Hancock Future Shock RIAA Gold Record Sales Award (Columbia FC 38814, 1983). Containing "Rockit," the mega-hit that propelled the album into the sales stratosphere, Future Shock features production from Avant-Garde icon Bill Laswell, and is Jazz master Herbie Hancock's thirty-fifth LP. According to the plaque beneath the gold disc, the award was "Presented to The Automatt to Commemorate the Sale of More Than 500,000 Copies of the Columbia Records Long-Playing Record Album 'Future Shock'". Framed in wood with gold metal trim to 17.25" x 21.25". Very Fine condition, with minor scratching and wear to the frame.
