Babe Ruth, Gary Cooper, Bill Dickey, and Others Signed Softball from The Pride of the Yankees (Samuel Goldwyn, 1942). Vintage original Tober Fast Play softball signed in black fountain tip ink by several stars associated with the 1942 film tribute to Lou Gehrig, including the "Sultan of Swat" Babe Ruth, "To Tober Sports From Babe Ruth", "Gary Cooper" (who starred as Gehrig in the film), Yankee legend "Bill Dickey", renowned baseball agent Christy Walsh who inscribed, "'The Pride of the Yankees' Christy Walsh Mgmt. Co.", and Eleanor Gehrig, "Presented to Tober Sports in appreciation from Eleanor Gehrig". Includes original box (collapsed). Ball exhibits wear appropriate with age, while the ink has faded to green over time. Box exhibits toning, creasing, and handling wear. Comes with COA from Heritage Auctions.
