Original group of (13) 9" x 13.5" semigloss borderless doubleweight photos of Terry Southern and family for a Life magazine feature, all with photographer's wet stamp ("By Steve Shapiro for Life Magazine") and Story and Location use stamps, with print numbers in graphite (VF/Excellent). Images include: (1) Southern wearing sunglasses and smoking a pipe (used in his New York Times obituary), (1) holding a shotgun with a German Shepherd, (1) standing with The Loved One star Anjanette Comer (with "USED IN LIFE / AUG 21 1964" and "40" in graphite, boxed), (1) driving a car, (1) reading a newspaper, (1) sitting in a director's chair with a cat, (1) looking through a telescope with a cigarette in hand, (1) reading his book Candy with the actress from the cover, (1) with producer Martin Ransohoff and a cat, (1) with producer John Calley, (1) with actor Ben Gazzara, and (1) with wife Carol, son Nile, and TV director Stu Greenberg. Photos are in Very Good to Excellent condition, exhibiting minor edge tears (1), corner creases, and scattered surface impressions. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
