Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie) Bear Pit Dress and Wooden Action Sword from Game of Thrones (HBO® Original 2011-2019, Season 3). Original character costume featuring (1) pink velvet dress with brown fur trim and lace-up back closure (with "Brienne" bias label) and (1) broken wooden sword in 3-fragments measuring 20" x 2" (tip), 19" x 2" (middle), and 17" x 9" (handle and pommel). This dress is worn by Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie) in Season 3, Episode 7, "The Bear and the Maiden Fair," when she is thrown into a bear pit with only a wooden sword to defend herself. Costume designer Michele Clapton noted, "Brienne does wear a dress, and it is given to her. We imagined it was an old dress, probably stored in a trunk, so it looked dusty, aged, and faded. Velvet worked well, and we trimmed it with moth-eaten fur. It didn't fit properly, but we also wanted to make Brienne look good, not because she wanted to, but in spite of herself." Exhibits production wear and production distressing (including caked blood, caked dirt, discoloration, and claw slashes on the sleeves and shoulder). Wooden sword exhibits production distress, including scuffing, splintering and fading. Comes with a COA from HBO and Heritage Auctions.
