Steve McQueen personal Type MA-1 Flight Jacket. Vintage original forest green nylon size "Large" U.S. Air Force flight jacket with elastic wool collar, cuffs, and waist, zipper and snap patch pockets at front and sleeves, and zipper front closure. Lined in pumpkin orange tufted nylon. This personal jacket is nearly identical to the example worn on screen by Steve McQueen as "Papa Thorson" in what would be McQueen's final film, The Hunter (1980), about the life of real-life bounty hunter Ralph Thorson. Handwritten on the interior of the left hip snap pocket, on the mfg. bias label, "S Mc Q." Comes with a signed letter of authenticity from a co-trustee of the Terry McQueen Testamentary Trust; a derivative of the Steve McQueen estate. Exhibiting light age sand production wear. Leather zipper pull is torn. In vintage Very Good to Fine condition. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
