Breakfast at Tiffany's (Paramount, 1961), Audrey Hepburn "Holly Golightly" Set of (2) Costume Sketches for the Bar Sequence by Edith Head. Pair of vintage original costume sketches accomplished in gouache and ink on 14" x 17" artist's paper by legendary costume designer Edith Head. One features Holly (Audrey Hepburn) in a sleeveless black dress with a boat-neck holding a white scarf and wearing sunglasses. Exhibits production notations in pencil by Head reading, "bar at table", and "sc. 90, sc. 15 test war." The second image features Holly wearing sunglasses in a black square-neckline dress holding a wrap in her right hand. Includes several production notes, "no scarf", "double", and "perfect day". The outfit, including sunglasses, is worn by Holly when she and Paul (George Peppard) go for drinks and see the famous stripper, Miss Beverly Hills, perform in a bar. The final outfit for this sequence is a short-sleeved black oxford cloth button-down shirt with a herringbone patterned skirt. Both sketches are unsigned. Top edges of paper are perforated. Exhibiting age, production handling and light toning. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
