Pee-wee's Big Adventure (Warner Bros., 1985), Paul Reubens "Pee-wee Herman" Replica Signature Red Bicycle Signed by Mark Holton. Wonderfully constructed full-scale replica of the instantly recognizable red Schwinn DX bicycle that was a central element of the plot and a long-lasting image of Pee-wee Herman's (Paul Reubens) character from the 1985 Tim Burton cult classic, Pee-wee's Big Adventure. Much like the original, this faithful replica is custom-built on the body of a Schwinn DX, with candy-striped red and white paint to exterior and embellished with whimsical components as seen in the film including colorful streamer tassels on the handlebars, candy-striped spiral tire hubs, Mickey Mouse thumb bell, floating ball compass, plastic "escape console" box with red and green buttons, plastic "tiger siren", dice valve cap, and gold-colored plaque reading "Property of Pee-Wee Herman" beneath the seat. Also includes the recognizable large saddlebags, white-walled tires, vented wheel guards, dual rearview mirrors, red metallic front wheel power generator, kickstand, and electrical switches to frame's top tube. Rear center carrier is signed to right side in black felt tip reading, "I know you are, but what am I? / Mark Holton 'Francis'". Francis Buxton (Mark Holton) is the spoiled neighbor and enemy of Pee-wee's in the movie. Measuring approx. 77" x 44" x 29" and exhibiting signs of age and wear including areas of chipped paint and missing red fins and cracked acrylic to the headlight where the yellow front "propeller" is affixed.
