Dwight D. Eisenhower Typed Letter Signed and Signed Photo to Hugh O'Brian (1962). Vintage original typed letter on "DDE Gettysburg, Pennsylvania" letterhead stationery, dated August 22, 1962, being a thank you note discussing his meeting with O'Brian and applauding O'Brian's Youth Foundation efforts in bringing out "leadership qualities of boys who are of good character, but have previously shown little interest in striving for worthy personal advancement." Signed "Dwight D. Eisenhower" in ink. Masking tape remnants present on verso perimeter from previous display and exhibits some moisture damage with some bleeding of ink in signature. Includes, 8 x 10 black and white photograph of Eisenhower with broad lower margin on which he has inscribed, "For Hugh O'Brian - with best wishes from Dwight D. Eisenhower". Exhibits some toning with heavy creasing at lower right corner, painter's tape on verso and mild crease at upper left. Masking tape remnants on verso from previous display. In vintage Good to Very Good condition. From Hugh O'Brian's personal collection. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
