Description

G.I. Joe Laser Viper CAS 85 (Hasbro, 1990). Introduced in 1990, the Laser Viper represented Cobra's next leap in battlefield technology-a high-intensity infantryman equipped with a shoulder-mounted laser weapon system capable of cutting through anything in his sights. As one of the standout figures from Series 9, the Laser Viper combined futuristic hardware with Cobra's trademark menace, reflecting Hasbro's turn toward more specialized, tech-driven troopers in the early '90s. The figure's vivid color palette and intricate gear made it one of the most visually arresting designs of the post-Sunbow era. Graded CAS 85 with a True Grade of 85.8 and subgrades of C80, B90, and F85, this 34-Back example displays exceptional presentation. The bubble remains tightly sealed with excellent clarity, the card retains strong color and gloss, and the figure itself presents near mint. This release also features the Free Command Ring promotion, a late-line offer that adds another layer of collector appeal and period authenticity to the piece. The Laser Viper stands as a testament to Cobra's enduring fascination with over-the-top weaponry and Hasbro's inventive spirit during the franchise's evolution. Equal parts nostalgia and spectacle, this high-grade specimen shines as a pulse-charged reminder of G.I. Joe's ever-expanding arsenal.
