North by Northwest (MGM, 1959), Eva Marie Saint "Eve Kendall" Group of (3) Costume Sketches by Helen Rose. Vintage original group of (3) costume sketches accomplished in pencil, gouache, and ink including (1) sketch of a green suit ensemble on paper stapled to artist's board with handwritten, "Eva M. Saint" and "Lincoln's Nose" along the top border and a piece of the suit fabric stapled to the top left corner, (1) sketch of a red dress ensemble with black coat on paper stapled to artist's board with handwritten, "Ambassador East" along the top border and 2-pieces of red and black fabric stapled to the top left corner, and (1) sketch of a gray suit ensemble with smaller sketches of the blouse underneath and the overcoat alongside the figure (not on board). The paper components measure 12.5" x 19.25". The artist's board components measure 14" x 22". Each ensemble was worn by Eve Kendall (Eva Marie Saint) throughout the film, and in the memorable scene where her character hangs from Mount Rushmore. Each exhibits edge wear, creasing, typical production handling, and soiling, with additional holes and small tears from the staples. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
