The Ten Commandments (Paramount, 1956), Production Photo-matched Charlton Heston "Moses" Holy Staff. Vintage original 81" prop staff used by Charlton Heston as Moses in this Cecil B. DeMille epic. Constructed of meticulously sculpted fiberglass and resin over a dense foam core, painted shades of brown to appear as knotted wood. The unique head of the staff has been faithfully re-created in resin and blended to the original staff. Moses' staff is highly visible in the film, including the "Let My People Go" sequence in which the staff transforms into a cobra and in the "Parting of the Red Sea" sequence. Under close examination, a unique knot and adjacent lightning bolt-shaped fissure match a production photograph of Charlton Heston holding the staff. Exhibits use and age with some scuffing, paint rubbing and crazing throughout. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
