Batman Super-Micro Bat Radio in Case (DC, 1966). Holy vintage collectibles, Batman! This lot showcases a rare and wonderfully compact Super-Micro Bat-Radio, dating back to the superhero craze of 1966, the same year the Batman TV series took pop culture by storm. Measuring less than 2 by 2 by 1 inch, this miniature Japanese-made 9-transistor AM radio packs a mighty punch in a small package. Housed in a sleek hard clamshell case, the set includes the Bat-pendant radio, earphones, two original 1.5V alkaline batteries, and the original display box marked with the 1966 copyright from National Periodical Publications, Inc. The interior tray shows some light storage wear and staining, but the radio and accessories appear unused and remain in excellent condition. A pint-sized piece of Bat-history, this little gadget brings big charm from the dawn of Batmania.
