Lost in Space (CBS TV, 1965-1968), Bill Mumy "Will Robinson" Costume Ensemble. Vintage original (2) piece signature Will Robinson (Bill Mumy) ensemble as seen on the beloved Sci-fi family drama, Lost in Space, including (1) long-sleeved lavender velour tunic with lime green square neck and zipper sleeve cuffs featuring yellow and lime twill stripes, with left side torso zipper closure, 1- inset yellow turtleneck ribbed sweater dickie that snaps onto the interior of the tunic, and zipper back closure, retaining internal Fox dry cleaning tag, and (1) pair of Acrobat brand lavender super-elastic spandex ski pants with 2- horizontal slash zipper pockets, black elastic stirrups and zipper front closure, retaining internal maker's label. Will Robinson was the beloved, precocious child of the Robinson family and can be seen wearing this version of his ensemble during Season 3 of the series. Exhibiting expected age and production wear including soiling, color fade and minor makeup stains to the tunic and color fade near the crease marks of the pants. The present lot is accompanied by a pair of silver boots and a wig for display purposes. 1- zipper pull on replica boots has detached with zipper still functional. In 2023, Heritage Auctions sold a Bill Mumy Season 1 Lost in Space costume ensemble for $187,500. Stewart took great pride in displaying his collection and had many custom-built mannequins in the likeness of the character made for his costumes. This lot includes one of those mannequins, which is in used and well-loved condition and will require special shipping. The option is yours if you would like to receive the mannequin.
