Description

Rebel Without a Cause and East of Eden (Warner Bros., 1955), (2) One-Sheet Posters. Vintage original (2) 27" x 41" one-sheet posters for two of James Dean's career-defining roles. In each film he plays disaffected teenagers who drift in and out of trouble, leading to ultimate tragedy. Among the most important and influential films of the era, paper from each is extremely collectible and highly sought after. The Rebel Without a Cause example shows pinholes in the corners and variously around perimeter, a bumped corner, minor margin losses, minor fading and noticeable staining spots throughout background. East of Eden shows minor wrinkling, a bumped corner and a trace of marginal toning. Both posters are mounted directly onto a canvas or linen fabric (without benefit of the customary Japanese barrier paper) which has been wrapped and mounted onto foam core backings for display. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
