Description
Nightmare Alley (Fox Searchlight, 2021), Toni Collette "Zeena the Seer" All-Seeing Eye Pendant and Fortune-Telling Pamphlet. Original pair of items associated with Zeena Krumbein (aka Zeena the Seer), played by Toni Collette in Guillermo del Toro's 2021 remake of Nightmare Alley. Included is a 2" x 2" hollow resin "All-Seeing Eye" pendant featuring a fortune-telling eye motif inset within an overlapping four-pointed star design, suspended from a 4" velvet cord, seen as Stanton Carlisle (Bradley Cooper) sells these pendants to unsuspecting carnival "rubes" while Zeena delivers her mystical predictions to a Depression-era crowd. Also included is (1) 8-page fortune-telling pamphlet printed on heavy card-stock and titled "Zeena the Seer: Mystic Fortune-Teller," subtitled "Palmist and Dream Book," featuring a 1-page introduction, 2-pages of palmistry diagrams, 2-pages of numerology, 2-pages of dream interpretation, and a final page on card reading. The pendant exhibits production wear, and the pamphlet shows three small scuffs on the front cover. The pamphlet, though fully produced, was not seen in the final cut of the film. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions."We acquired, consulted, and reproduced language, typography, and mores of carnival pamphlets and aesthetics after intense, painfully detailed research, and thus, these are gorgeous props that I adore!" From the personal collection of Guillermo del Toro.
