Description

(Beatles-Related) George Harrison "Love Comes to Everyone"/"Soft Touch" Ultra Rare US 7-Inch Picture Sleeve (DRC 8844). An ultra-rare picture sleeve (there is no disc) for a single in promotion of George's self-titled LP. The single was released in the spring of 1979, and the A-side features Steve Winwood and Eric Clapton. But this particular sleeve was barely released!

This is a seldom-seen, highly-prized picture sleeve, as it is one of the rarest (and most valuable) Beatles-related picture sleeves.

In the early 1980s, famed collector and dealer Marty Eck obtained about 20 of these sleeves from a Warner Bros. executive, who said they were extremely limited and that these were all he had. Marty quickly sold out of them, but kept this example in his collection all these years. He was not able to get any more of these sleeves, and it's possible that all of the ones that exist came from this source.

This is the first time Heritage Auctions has offered one of these. These rarely come up for sale, and the ones that are out there are ensconced in collections. Interestingly, Marty sent one of these sleeves to George Harrison to be signed. Marty received back a signed "All Those Years Ago" sleeve instead. Even George didn't have this sleeve!

The sleeve is in NM 8 condition. COA from Heritage Auctions. From the Collection of Marty Eck
