Original Series-Style illuminating Starfleet Communicator from the Classic Episode: "Trials and Tribble-ations" of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (Paramount TV, 1993-1999). Original one of only three hero, light-up communicators built by HMS Creative Productions for the classic DS9 episode. Constructed of heavy vacuum-formed black ABS plastic shell with brass metal vented flip-screen, which opens to reveal an aluminum mid-plate, round moiré-patterned bezel, 3-LED lights (red, yellow, and green), and a square mic grill. After production, each of the three HMS partners kept one of the screen-used hero communicators. This particular 2.5" x 4.5" hand prop comes from HMS partner Steve Horsch's collection.
