The Birds (Paramount, 1963), Tippi Hedren "Melanie Daniels" Costume Sketch of Signature Green Dress by Edith Head. Vintage original costume sketch accomplished in gouache and ink on 14" x 16.75" artist's paper by legendary costume designer Edith Head. Signed by Head at the bottom right. This iconic sleeveless green dress was worn by Melanie Daniels (Tippi Hedren) throughout most of this classic Alfred Hitchcock film. This sketch depicts Hedren holding the fur coat she wears in the film over the jacket and dress ensemble. Exhibits age and production handling with slightly irregular top margin. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
