Personal book-bound script for Man with a Million (United Artists, 1954). Vintage original 134-page screenplay dated March 24, 1953 with undated pink revision pages. Screenplay by Jill Craigie, based on a short story by Mark Twain. The present script was custom-bound for Mr. Peck's personal library in full tan calf with title and Mr. Peck's name stamped in gilt on the front board. Spine stamped in gilt with five raised bands. Marbled endpapers. With 19 gelatin silver glossy 7.25" x 9.5" production stills from the film tipped to pages bound-in. Spine is sun darkened. Corners rubbed and a few light scuffs to the boards. A few pages of underlined passages or highlighted dialogue passages in blue pencil and don't appear to be in Mr. Peck's hand. Very Good.

This British comedy, directed by Ronald Neame, was released as The Million Pound Note in United Kingdom, but released in America as Man with a Million.

Please note that while not a studio presentation script, the present script was custom bound for Mr. Peck's personal library and features his name stamped in gilt on the front board.
