Star Wars Franchise: Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, and Darth Vader Original Art Signed by William Stout (Lucasfilm Ltd., 2017). Presented is an exciting work of original art by the prolific artist William Stout, featuring a great image of Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa standing over the body of an Imperial stormtrooper, backgrounded by the ominous helmet of Darth Vader. A must-have for any fan of George Lucas' monumental space opera Star Wars, this piece was created for a T-shirt design for a Comic Con, a rare published original work. Dated 2017, the drawing is rendered masterfully in ink and signed by William Stout. William Stout's career spans decades since 1968 with his cover art for the first issue of Coven 13. He is also widely known for his movie poster work, beginning with Ralph Bakshi's Wizards in 1977, and he is one of the first American contributors to the lauded Heavy Metal magazine. He has worked on over 30 feature films including Conan the Barbarian, Return of the Living Dead, and key designs for Pan's Labyrinth, Men in Black, and The Mist. This rare original drawing is an excellent find for any fan of William Stout and Star Wars alike, a large image measuring 13" x 12". The 15" x 20" illustration board show minimal handling with light smudges, and the condition is Very Good.Auction Info
