Alice in Wonderland (Lou Bunin Productions, 1949), Bernyce Polifka Concept Artwork for "The Mad Hatter's Tea Party". Vintage original artwork accomplished in gouache and ink on 12.5" x 17.5" artist's board. The colorful fantasy artwork features a pair of cherubs suspending flowered streamers above a large banquet table beside a prominent throne-like chair with "Alice" inscribed on the chairback. In this 1949 French version of Lewis Carroll's tale, most of the Wonderland characters are portrayed by stop-motion animated puppets, whereas "Alice" is played by Carol Marsh. Unsigned. Exhibits tape on verso along margins not affecting artwork with 2-tears on backing paper of frame and 1" tear in top left area of the artwork. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
