Description
Lost in Space Motorized Robot (Remco, 1966). When Lost in Space debuted on CBS in 1965, its breakout star was not human at all-it was "Robot B-9," the iconic mechanical companion who warned of danger and became a pop culture phenomenon. To capitalize on the craze, Remco released this battery-powered Lost in Space Motorized Robot in 1966. Featuring moving arms, a turning body, and a blinking dome light, it gave young fans the thrill of commanding their own sci-fi sentinel. The toy's colorful base and accordion-style legs made it instantly recognizable, cementing its place among the great space-age collectibles of the decade. This example comes with its original illustrated box and instruction sheet. The toy shows moderate use, including scuffing to the body and yellowing to the clear plastic dome and claws. The box displays moderate wear with corner crushing, edge denting, yellowing, and some staining. Despite this, both robot and packaging remain complete and presentable. See images for further condition details. Items are sold as is. A true relic of 1960s television toy culture, this Remco robot remains a cornerstone piece for both Lost in Space and vintage sci-fi collectors-an electrifying survivor from the golden age of TV tie-ins.Heritage Auctions provides as much information as possible but strongly encourages in-person inspection.
