Description
The Bride of Frankenstein (482-149) Model Kit AFA 90 ** POP 1, Highest Grade ** (Aurora, 1965). A haunting icon from the golden age of monster model kits, Aurora's The Bride of Frankenstein stands as one of the most beloved-and elusive-entries in the legendary Movie Monsters line. Released in 1965 during the peak of Aurora's monster mania, the kit presents Elsa Lanchester's unforgettable portrayal with striking accuracy, capturing the windswept hair, stitched gown, and eerie elegance that made the character an instant horror classic. As one of the few female figures in the entire Aurora monster series, the Bride holds a unique place in both hobby and Hollywood history. Graded a pristine AFA 90 NM+/MT, this example is the only one known at this grade, with none higher-making it the highest graded population example on record. The box art remains bold and immaculate, showcasing Aurora's signature mid-century design and the Universal Studios license that defined a generation of monster collecting. Rarely offered in sealed, let alone gem-grade condition, this is a museum-caliber specimen of one of the most visually arresting and historically significant monster kits ever produced. A definitive prize for Aurora completists and vintage horror collectors alike-graceful, gothic, and virtually impossible to top.Heritage Auctions provides as much information as possible but strongly encourages in-person inspection.
