1959 Gibson Les Paul Custom Black Solid Body Electric Guitar, Serial #9 1357.
This is an original 1959 Gibson Les Paul Custom, famously known as the "Black Beauty", in well-played condition. A true piece of guitar history, this triple-P.A.F. model remains highly collectible and sought after by players and collectors alike. (Two double white in the bridge and neck with a zebra in the middle)
All three pickups retain their original PAF stickers. The neck pickup is intermittent due to defective volume control that will need to be replaced but is working. The guitar has been refretted with large frets, making it more playable while maintaining its vintage integrity. A reproduction switch tip has been installed.
Cosmetically, the guitar shows considerable checking, dings, dents, and scuffs, consistent with a well-loved instrument from this era. There is a possible overspray, and the finish may have been buffed at some point in its history. Despite these modifications and wear, this remains a remarkable example of one of Gibson's most iconic guitars.
