The Commodores 1981 South Bend, IN Concert Poster. A poster from the tail-end of Lionel Richie's tenure with the funk/R&B greats. Playing the Notre Dame Athletic and Convention Center, the group was on their tour behind In the Pocket. Richie would leave the band to pursue a solo career as a performer and producer and would become a superstar.

Opener Evelyn "Champagne" King became a breakout star in the late 1970s and her hits continued into the 1980s. Her latest was "I'm in Love."
