Richard Pryor, Patti LaBelle 1978 New York City Concert Poster. A poster for a series of performances featuring the legendary stand-up comedian and actor, with Patti LaBelle opening up. This was for a half week in late September of 1978 at the City Center Dance Theater in NYC. A couple of months later, a performance in Long Beach was filmed for the Richard Pryor: Live in Concert documentary.

This poster comes from the estate and personal collection of New York City concert promoter M. Morton Hall, who passed away six years ago. An early club and concert promoter in the Big Apple, Hall is credited with putting disco on the map, helping to create a scene that ended up being a precursor to the early New York rap scene.

Measures 23" x 29" and grades to Near Mint Minus condition. Slightly soft corners from years of storage. There's a couple of creases in the white board directly to the right of Pryor's face, the left one barely touching his image. There's another slight, light surface crease in the upper left corner area, not near any printing. Both are barely noticeable. COA from Heritage Auctions.
