Description

James Brown 1966 Vancouver, British Columbia Concert Poster. An original cardstock window card advertising the Hardest-Working Man in Show Business, James Brown, appearing at the PNE Forum in Vancouver, Canada on Sunday evening, July 17, 1966. Also on the poster are the Famous Flames (of course), Bobby Byrd, Vicki Anderson, James Crawford, Baby Lloyd and the Jewels. As a big plus for this poster, Brown's very latest hit over the previous couple of months had been "It's a Man's Man's Man's World."

Measures 14 3/8" x 22 1/8" and grades to Very Good condition. There's a very mild and gentle crease through the "S" in "James" that runs off to the edge, and doesn't begin to break any black color (way too benign to do so). All corners have small creases, the longest in the lower left at 2" but not into "Dale." There's also some vertical creasing down along the middle of the poster's right edge. A small surface crease over "Stores" at the bottom. General toning throughout. COA from Heritage Auctions.
