Mary Philbin Autographed 11" x 14" Photo. Vintage original sepia photo featuring Mary Philbin, the actress best known for The Phantom of the Opera and The Man Who Laughs, signed (and inscribed to Hal Mohr, along with a short note) in the bottom left corner area with a thin green ink tip. the photograph was inscribed and signed to Hal Mohr, who twice received the Academy Award for Best Cinematography: A Midsummer Night's Dream, 1935, and Phantom of the Opera, 1943, (color). Mary Philbin starred in the role of Christine Daaé alongside Lon Chaney in the silent Phantom of the Opera (1925) and Conrad Veidt in The Man Who Laughs (1928). Hal Mohr was also the cinematographer of the silent-part sound film The Last Performance (1929) starring Ms. Philbin. Verso has writing. Exhibits edge wear and minor creases. Full LOA from PSA/DNA and Beckett Authentication Services. Allow 6-8 weeks for LOA delivery.
