Star Trek Beyond (Paramount, 2016), Joe Taslim "Manas" Custom-Made Costume on Display. Custom-made (9) piece costume made of polyurethane including (1) full body jumpsuit, (1) pair of gauntlets, (1) pair of foam display hands from original glove molds, (1) pair of greaves, and (1) pair of boots. The costume was meticulously crafted by Film Illusions and is identical to the design worn throughout the film by Manas (Joe Taslim), who was once a crew member of the USS Franklin, a pre-federation Starfleet vessel. He crashed on the remote planet of Altamid, along with his captain, Balthazar Edison/Krall (Idris Elba), where they were never rescued. It's assumed Manas uses the same alien technology as Krall to prolong his life. This process altered his appearance into the character seen throughout the film. Costume components have been applied to a custom display figure resembling actor Joe Taslim, standing 74" tall on a 40" x 34" x 6" wooden base with a black acrylic cover.
